Tentbox thefts

Tentbox thefts

Good afternoon residents.

We are seeing an increase in thefts from motor vehicles, particularly vehicles that have Tentboxes attached to them. We are seeing a rise in the thefts of Tentboxes and are urging residents who own one to ensure that these are removed from your vehicle unless it is in use.

If you are unable to remove your tent box from your vehicle, please ensure any valuables are removed from inside and look into other methods of deterring thieves such as:

using specialist M8 security bolts,

securing a tracker tag inside of the box such as an Apple AirTag or dedicated vehicle tracker,

using a UV marker pen or forensic security marking kit to mark your postcode onto the equipment.
